Reading – 2009
Each year I have the goal of reading 50 books. I’ve never actually made it to 50 and am usually pretty far short of the mark. Most years, I start out on a tear and peter out by spring. Here’s hoping this year’s different!
- Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn*#
- The Subtle Knife, by Philip Pullman
- Nicolae, by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins*
- The Amber Spyglass, by Philip Pullman
- The Loved Dog, by Tamar Geller*
[UPDATED 11/18/09: I'll be perfectly honest, there are about 5 other books besides those listed above that I started or skimmed and never finished. That is it. It's shameful, I know. I love to read, but apparently 2009 was not a year for reading. So I'm taking the rest of the year to finish up watching all my television shows and movies and things and I'll start anew in 2010. This time I am not fucking around. I'm going to read myself retarded.]
