Janie and I took a short road trip yesterday since the weather was so beautiful. It was a sunny, 60 degree fall day and we decided to head up to Snoqualmie Falls, about 45 minutes outside of Seattle, just as you start a climb into the mountains. I’d not been in many years and it was strange to see how much development has taken place in that time.

About a mile form the Falls is the older portion of the town of Snoqualmie, offering an outdoor train museum of broken down cars and engines along a railroad track. We wandered down the pathway and I took a bunch of photos. Below are some of my favorites, first from the falls and the surrounding foliage and then from the trains.

Nice photos! I’ve been spending time outside this weekend, too. I think sunny October days are my favorite days in the PAC NW.

agreed - there’s just something about the way the sun makes everything look and how the trees are bursting with color.
