I’ve been running around town after work for the past week, so I’ve had only limited time for posting here. I apologize. It won’t be much better this weekend because I’m going to get busy on my master bathroom destruction project. Tonight I chip off all the tiny little tiles in the shower which sounds boring but is great fun!
I will share photos and a recipe of this delicious potato-leek soup I made last night because it’s perfect for the cool fall and winter evenings that are coming …

I have fond childhood memories of sitting at your dark wooden bar, being served pop and then being left to run amok in your house. We played on the bars in your backyard and sailed up and down your steep driveway on bicycles and in roller skates. Best neighbors ever.

When we were younger we’d play together every day: riding bikes, playing Bubble Bobble on Nintendo and kickball in the circle. It’s clear we have completely opposite views on just about everything now, but I remember when you were obsessed with Joan Rivers and religiously watched Days of Our Lives.

It’s clear to me now, after only 20 minutes of actual work, that I’ve bitten off more than I can chew in some respects.  We’re renovating our bedroom/master bathroom.
You see, those cocksuckers who sold this place to us two years ago decided to do a lot of construction themselves when they updated.  This would have been fine if they knew anything about construction and codes and laws and, you know, electricity and plumbing.  We have pretty much fixed the electrical nightmare they created in our walls, with a few exceptions …
