Janie and I just spent a long weekend relaxing on our couch. On Monday, the only reason we had for getting up was to go to the bathroom. This is what a long Labor Day weekend should be, people. Sitting on your couch, watching that Tori Spelling reality show marathon. I totally cried when her dog, Mimi La Rue, died. I’ll be honest, I find this show and Tori Spelling to be sweet and genuine. I feel like they’re a normal couple with an abnormal life. I could be wrong, but it makes for good television. Either way, Candy Spelling is an asshole.

I have been working a post about our trip to the Evergreen State Fair, but in all honesty, there’s not much to tell because all we did was look at animals. I have photos, though, so I’ll post what I’ve written so far with the photographical evidence that we did leave the house at least once in four days. Lower your expectations.

Sarah Palin. WTF? This is like an episode of Maury Povich, but without paternity testing because we already know the father and instead we’re going to sit back and watch as two teenagers are forced to get married because it’s good for Sarah Palin’s already battered image. If I wasn’t already disgusted by her politics, I’d be horrified by how a mother manipulates her children for political gain.  I promise only to manipulate my children for financial gain.

I’ve started a Wednesday tradition wherein I spend the evening with my parents. We have dinner, my dad fixes something I’ve broken and my mom cleans out her cupboards and sends me home with bags of crackers. I’ve really come to enjoy this time together because I like my parents a lot. They’re fun and funny and overly generous and they probably deserve better than the three self-absorbed kids they got who spend too little time properly earning their inheritance. On tonight’s episode, my mother and I go to the Grand Opening of the new PCC in Edmonds. It doesn’t get more exciting than this!

Thank you and good night.

Please tell me how PCC is. I don’t believe that they are possibly ready at ALL to open today.

Any other posts you are working on there??? ; )

sarah palin is a douchebag. plain & simple. and you’re 100% right that she’s using her current situation to manipulate the hell out of her little daughter. my sister was a pregnant teen. all pregnant teens want to marry their baby-daddy… but life ain’t that neat & sweet… if she gave a shit about her daughter she’d realize the next few months (years??) are going to be hard on her and it might be time to step back and be a mom – not a vice president. clearly her ‘strong family values’ are guiding her judgment… clearly.

i agree with your labor day beliefs and tradition, and i agree with the sarah thing, she’s a talking head. kids are supposed to be only be used for financial gain, i learned it in health class.

your parents are cool, would you be willing to share them?

You’re a much better daughter than I am and I want to share your parents too, with piglet and I agree with everything else you said except about Tori Spelling. I don’t like Tori Spelling.
