I know what you mean. But our couch is up against the wall, so it would be quite the trick for me to get behind it for any kind of emotional display.

I can see how it might be a challenge, but I’d suggest make the extra effort in seriously difficult times. I find that wedging into a tight space makes for a more soothing environment in which to be hysterical. For example, when times are tough, I like to cram myself into that space between the back of the toilet and the wall.

That toilet/wall space seems always to be full of yucky stuff within minutes of cleaning it. Apparantly it’s some sort of domestic magnet for sorrow and many other things no one wants to see.
