Overheard in the hallway

I’m growing squash and zucchini!

Ooh, then you can make squash blossoms.

What are squash blossoms? How do you make something with them?

Well, I think the plants flower and the squash grows from the flower, so you just pick the flower and use that…?

So the zucchini will just start flowering and I’ll pick the blossoms and not have any zucchini?

Well, I mean the squash.

Aren’t zucchini squash?

I don’t know. I just saw them making squash blossoms on TV the other night and it sounded interesting and I was thinking that I didn’t know where you’d get the blossoms because I’ve never seen them at the store or the farmers market, so you said you were growing squash and it made me think of that. Now you’re asking all these questions and it’s not helping me when I’m just trying to say something to sound smart and knowledgeable. I can’t answer any questions!

You CAN buy them at the store AND Farmer’s Market. You bread them and fry them for best results. Also, you two make life too G-D complicated sometimes. Or all the time rather.

Hey now E’s Mom, I had nothing to do with this conversation. Linsey does know other people, you know.
