Janie, a friend and I just spent a few hours watching a 2005 movie called Hard Candy.
I was especially interested to see Ellen Page acting in something after having recently seen her rock the big screen in Juno.
This movie is VERY different and intensely disturbing. They are certainly not comparable.
This is, sadly, all I have to report.

I liked that movie a lot. It was disturbing. I guess I liked being disturbed. I also think way too many movies are way too much like all the other movies. I appreciated that this one wasn’t.
It took me a while to decide whether or not I liked it. In the end, I have to say that I did. I, too, appreciate a movie that isn’t doing the same things as all the others and I like that Ellen Page seems to be an actress picking roles in movies that are challenging and not cookie cutter, because she is very good.
