If I would have seen this at Trader Joe’s earlier today, you bet I’d have purchased it for the book club this evening, just for poops and giggles. Instead, they’ll have to make do with a delicious salad and a shriveled and cold flat bread with ham, onions and gruyere cheese that I baked an hour ago, thinking maybe my sister would pick me up, you know, about an hour ago.

The Seattle PI has just finished a four-part series concerning University of Washington football under former Head Coach Rick Neuheisel and former Athletic Director Barbara Hedges. Players of that era included the very troubled Jerramy Stevens, currently a player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The series investigates happenings nearly 8 years old, with little hope for accountability or reparations for the disgusting behavior of past players, coaches, and legal officials who looked past some sickening indiscretions. I’ve been browsing around at Amazon.com Grocery section. I clicked on the Top Sellers option and was given several pages of coffee and diapers. It seems pretty clear that either someone is trying to prepare for a massive Lisa Nowak-style attack or there are a lot of tired parents who are unable to make it to the store for more diapers.

We just returned from having dinner with some old friends of Janie’s. We exchanged our very belated Christmas gifts and ate Thai food.
